The Environmental Technology section in Maritime Advisory supports our customers in optimizing their decisions on environmental technology, alternative fuels and environmental policy. We advise and guide the maritime sector and authorities on environmental requirements and regulations, solutions and compliance options. Our customers are national and international authorities, buyers of marine services, ship owners, suppliers, and other players in the maritime value chain. Our section is amongst others responsible for facilitating the Green Coastal Shipping Program and the Maritime Battery Forum, we are a preferred advisor in the process of shifting to low and zero emission solutions in the ferry sector and we are assigned as technical advisors for national public and private support schemes for the use of environmental technology.
Due to a high, and increasing, demand for our knowledge and services, we are now looking for a new colleague to strengthen our team.
The right candidate will, among other roles, be involved in:

Technical and economic analysis, feasibility studies of low- and zero emission solutions, including full-electric and hybrid-electric ships, LNG, scrubbers, hydrogen, fuel cells and other emission reducing technologies

Development of strategies and approaches for implementing green solutions on behalf of maritime clients, authorities, public administration and incentive schemes

Project participation in the Green Coastal Shipping Program

Development of digital tools and solutions, both internally and on behalf of our clients

Using Big Data, AIS-data for a range of analysis, such as ship traffic analysis, emission and fuel inventories

Marketing, sales and business development
Position Qualifications
We are looking for a colleague with:
-
B.Sc. or M.Sc. within environmental or technical studies, or equivalent
-
Basic ship knowledge and understanding of the maritime sector
-
Insight in alternative fuels and ship engine systems
-
Understanding of economic analyses
-
Interest and knowledge of environmental technology and engineering.

Interest in marketing and sales
-
Analytical skills and excellent MS Excel skills
Excellent Norwegian language skills is a prerequisite due to our core customer base. You also have very good skills in technical writing and have good communication skills in English. You are customer-oriented, service minded, supportive and proactive.
